Great substitute for cable/fios

Bought this a few weeks ago and have been testing out different aspects of the device. I can't wait to get rid of FIOS TV and be able to take full advantage of the Roku. I love the variety in apps to use for tv and movie content. I wish there were more free apps but plan on getting HULU Plus and 1 or 2 other apps when FIOS contract is up.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Simple and effective

My wife had bedn given a Chromecast for Christmas, I have tried everything, from upgrading to faster WiFi to adding a wireless repeater to moving all of my equipment so it would sit next to the Chromecast. Terrible streaming, we had to rest set it everytime we tried to use it. No help from customer support.
Out of desperation I bought a Roku 2. Thank you, thank you and every more thank yous. Took minutes to set up and with the remote the ease of operation is wonderful!!! Throw out your Chromecast (or give it to someone you really hate) and buy a Roku!!!!

Great for all around function and value

This was my second Roku 2. Thought about getting a different one between a Roku 3 and Apple but looking at the features function and value the Roku 2 was just what I needed and so far have not been disappointed.

Worth every penny

I already had a 3 but needed one more so I bought a 2 (newest model). They both work darn near flawlessly. Tip... if its close to your router hard wire connect it. Although I still have cable tv, this is a must for cord cutters...
Id like to see the full gammut of channels offrered one day where one can customize their channels based on various apps like sling.

Bought a new tv and did an upgrade to the Roku 2 device. Device is easy to use and comes preloaded with interesting programs. very nice. :D
