Outstanding variety of movies and shows!

I just finally cut the cable cord and I am really happy that I did it. However, there is one drawback to having satellite internet and using my Roku players. At Cox, I got 250 GB of data per month, now I am down to 10 GB of data per month (while paying roughly the same amount of money: I had to switch providers due to excessive hacking and identity theft concerns) and have to purchase more data to be able to use my Roku players throughout the month, not to mention steering clear of playing HD movies that truly gobble up my data allowance. All in all, I love the movies and TV shows that I have seen so far.

My neighbor recommended getting this when I complained of regular TV shows. She showed me how to use it, and I've tuned in to Acorn just about every night. It has saved me from all the junk on air.

Great Device

This is my third Roku. I have them in our master and daughter's bedrooms. I bought this one for our living room. All three devices work as advertised. Due to the ease of use and the channels made available through Roku, they have made my cable TV cord cutting a non issue. I now can watch my preferred TV shows and movies when I want to. My three Roku devices work flawlessly.

ROKU 2 fits our needs

We have an "older" 2011 LG SmartTV. A few weeks back I received a notice from Amazon Prime that they would no longer support the Amazon App after September 14. The TV works fine. For a small additional investment in the ROKU 2 and an HDMI cable I overcame the imminent service loss. My only complaints would be 1. The remote is pretty sensitive to where the IR receiver is located but that is definitely a behavior modification and not a show stopper. 2. It is YAR (yet another remote).

The choice was simple when you check out the roku website and see how they measure up against the completion.
I had it now for about 10 days, canceled all satellite service and inky subscribed to Netflix with I love. One regret, why did I not do that years ago!
