Improved Speed

I have had the new Roku 2 since mid-July. I am a big fan of Roku I have had the older version Roku 3 for over 2 years. I love the improved speed and less buffering than the old version. I do find it runs warm to hot in terms of the physical temperature of the box. Even when sleeping it feels extremely warm. After 35 days it just stopped working. I think it may have "burned out" due to the temperature. I had purchased a 2 year full replacement so I took it back and received another Roku 2. I love the product but they need to have an on/off switch. It can't be good for any product to stay that warm all the time. I now have it on an electrical bar that has an on/off switch when not in use I turn the electricity off. I hope this one lasts longer than 35 days. I am a Technically Challenged Senior Citizen so I can't review the Technical aspects of the product. I was able to install and go through the steps to get it working on my TV all by myself so that is a plus to other Technically Challenged people.

Bought this a few weeks ago and cancled our cable. Its been nice to have the only thing i dont like is most of the free channels and even some you hve to pay for, requires you to have cable just to use the channels. I wish roku had the option to pay to have the channels instead. I didnt buy roku to use with cable there's no point to have both.

I was connecting to apps on my HDTV with a Blu Ray player and I got a lot of disconnects, buffering, windows that read I lost internet connection and when I switched to Roku 2 I have had none of that. I love it and told my brother about it and he is buying one.

I bought this a while ago and I absolutely love the roku 2. However, my wife was not able to find the shows that she likes to watch on it and while we were able to get a large portion of the shows she likes it wasn't enough for her. We wanted to get SciFi (faceoff), NCIS and a few others. Yes I can get most of them with payment plans but that defeats the whole point to going with a roku to save money doesn't it? I wanted this product to work for my family so bad. I just will have to wait and see if the Big Cable Companies will finally let roku get good channels.

I wanted to update from one of the first ROKU's made. Yes I am pleased by my purchase. However the format to view movies etc is a bit confusing to me and I have it over a month already.
