Superior than the rest

I bought this because I owned the fire stick and was sick and tired of it's performance and lack of apps. On the other hand the Roku has an exhaustive list of apps and superior performance.

I read about the Roku to be able to display what I saw on my cell or tablet on my TV, but then I also saw there was more to the device, I can watch my TWC app on my TV, I also have my Netflix handy in one device. Set up was Very easy, i was so happy with one, tha I bought another one, and I may buy a third one, I will also sign up for more services, the third one will stay at my mother's house, while the othe 2 one in my room an one in my living room...if you get one of these you will not regret it, and will have a smart TV in no time.

Great but...

Love the extra channels but don't like that you need codes from cable providers for some channels-I bought this to replace cable but many channels need codes to access them which to me defeats the purpose of having this! But it was super easy to hook up and was streaming tv in a matter of minutes.

We couldn't be happier with our new Roku! Easy hook up and we are watching all of our favorite shows on Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. I don't know why we waited so long to become a Roku family. Awesome!

Compared to the Amazon stick, or Chrome stick it works great. The remote was defective from the start. Using the Roku app on my smart phone works great. Not as convenient as a remote control.
