First Experience with Roku

I purchased my Roku 2 about a month ago. I've had difficulty with the remote once but I suspect it to be operator error. Overall, I am pleased with the Roku. It was terrifying to think of cutting the cable but I have been finding plenty of things to watch. One disappointment is that I cannot view live sports.

Ease of use!

We purchased our ROKU after being told how fabulous it was by our son who also owns one. We are absolutely so happy with this purchase. It does exactly what we wanted it to do. We are not techie so the EASE of use was important to us.

I'm only a couple of weeks into owning this, but so far, so good. Live sports is the only thing I miss from cable or satellite, and they can still be watched other ways. With a Netflix and Hulu account, you can watch almost anything at a fraction of the price. Easy to use and set up, I'd recommend it to anyone.

I have a 2nd home in a mountainous area. The only local channels I received was PBS. I was using a converter box on an older TV. I brought my HDTV up and attached a Roku 2 to it. I was amazed at the choices I now have access to.

We are Apple TV users, but once I read about features and extra content on Roku, we bought the Roku2. I especially like having some apps that Apple doesn't have, and having many private channels to choose from. We do experience occasional buffering which we don't have with Apple, so we will see if we can pinpoint why. So far, so good!
