Great for my master bedroom

This is the 2nd Roku I have purchased. First wss a Roku 3 for Great Room. I liked it so much I bought the Roku 2 for my master. I highly recommend either of these devices. Fast, easy to setup and use.

So much smoother than the stick

We bought the Stick for my daughter's room. It's wireless performance and remote efficacy were sporadic at best. With the 2's ethernet port the streaming is much more responsive. Very pleased.

Good Device

I bought this to replace a Blue-ray device that included access to Netflix, Amazon, etc. It went bad after a couple of years of use. I like the Roku 2 better than the Sony Blue-ray player for streaming. It is faster and has an interface I prefer. However, I have had one problem already. In the first month of use I got a message reading "HDCP Unauthorized. Content Disabled." I could hear the program in the background but couldn't view it. I unplugged the Roku 2 device and plugged it in again, and this restart corrected the problem. If this doesn't continue to be a problem, then I would give this device all thumbs up.

This was a replacement for one that broke It faster and more responsive than old version but I remote was better on old one

So easy to use!

This was super easy to setup. The only trouble I ran into was adding my credit card to the account. Put it in wrong twice and you have to wait 24 hours to do it again. So I missed out on the free trials Roku offered. I ended up starting aervices with the providers themselves. Other than that just getting used to knowing what I want to watch versus just channel surfing like I did with cable has been the only big change.

Best Apps Available Anywhere - PERIOD!!

I love my Roku 2. It's the same thing as the Roku 3 only without the fancier remote. I also have a Roku streaming stick. The only issue I have is that both devices will occasionally shut down or not start up at all even though they indicate a "excellent" signal on a 30mbs WiFi. Roku has the largest/best selection of apps available anywhere. To my knowledge, Roku is the ONLY device that has the TWC App.

A step in the right direction

Easy set up. Changing stations has a lag time associated with it. Very limited station options pretty much the same as a smart TV. It does not shut off once plugged in.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Brings Extra Features to My TV

I bought my Roku to add additional channels to my TV that I did not have access to such as Amazon Prime, YouTube, and Hulu. So far I have been satisfied with the purchase. I haven't completely cut cable loose so I have not fully explored all that the Roku can provide because I don't want the extra expense subscribing to additional channels bring.
