Really Needs Continuous Playback

The Roku has some nice features but one highly inconvenient feature is missing...continuous playback. After each episode in a TV series is complete, you are required to use the remote again to play the next episode. It does not automatically play the next episode in the sequence on its on when the previous one ends. This is painful when watching short shows during a binge watching session or when you want to fall asleep to the television. However two nice features include the headphone jack I the remote so you can watch / listen without disturbing someone else in the room. Also the ability to search for a show or movie at a platform level and it gives you results for any applicable application. Example, search "The Office" and it pulls up all the locations you could play it from without having to search in each app (Netflix, Amazon Prime, Flex, Hulu...etc.). Also the remote is highly sensitive. While is has some unique features, continuous playback is a big enough turn off to give this device a 2/5. Also...Personal preference, I don't like it but some people may like it better.

Great Device lack luster remote

Love my Roku 2 easy to use etc. Wish Xfinity/comcast would allow more. Only reason for 4 start and not 5 is the remote. Its absolutely horrible. Not sure if I just got a bad one or not but its always hit or miss. Regardless of how much power the battery has. Saving grace is the remote app is awesome!

I bought my ROKU 2 mainly for the benefit of watching Netflix Instant Play. When I got unboxed and set up my television viewing habits changed for good. Not only can I take advantage of my Netflix subscription like I wanted, I discovered a whole new source for music, movies, television, and information. Much of it is for FREE! Some of the programming I would have never heard of through cable or network television sources, but ROKU lets me try out new programs with the ease of browsing through easy to read menus and simply pressing a few buttons.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Exceeds my expectations

In researching which Roku player would best suit my needs, I settled on the Roku 2 as it gad all the functions I was looking for, and I did not need the extra bells and whistles the Roku 3 offered for the extra cost. I am extremely happy with my decision. This little box allows me to watch everything I was missing on cable and satellite! I signed up for Netflix, Amazon Prime and Sling Tv, and I am inly paying a fraction of what satellite TV would cost me. I live in the country and cable is not even an option. So very happy with my purchase, I should have done it sooner!

It's OK...

I bought it in August, Im not a big fan of it, I bought a joint for it so that I could mount it on the back of my TV but it's pointless because you need it facing forward so that it can catch the signal from the remote, unlike Roku 1 where you could literally be in a completely separate room and still control the roku, this new one once in a while it does not like to display the picture, you can hear the ppl talking but you a purple screen and you have to restart the device, once in a while it restart for no apparent reason while I'm watching a show, I would just by a Roku 3 and hope for the best.

no need to buy a tv when all you need is this o so easy to hook up o so easy to set up everything you need remote very easy to use works great when your seating across the box

Excellent Product: Quick streaming w/fast interne

Have owned the Roku 2 for just over 2 weeks and mostly use it for Sling TV as the Sling TV app for Xbox One and laptop is incredibly glitchy. Thankfully, I've occurred no such problems with Sling on the Roku 2 and have been very impressed with product so far. I look forward to finding out additional uses for the Roku.
