The Roku 2 doesn't take forever to connect or require re-setting. It's much faster and doesn't get hung up.

I have both the Roku Player and the Roku Stick. I like them both. The player seems a tiny bit faster, but no complaints either way!

Replaced an older Roku, came up fine with all my account info. Couldn't get AmazonPrime or Netflix to connect. Chatted with support, had the software updated in a matter of minutes and all working fine! Great experience!

Do be aware that Roku "out dates" these Roku players. I had to purchase a new one because Roku kept emailing me that my current one will no longer access this and that channel. My new one does link quicker to my router and the display is much more "splashy". However, my old Roku would recognize where I left off on a show on my computer and continue to play on my Roku at the same point I stopped watching. The new Roku 2 does not! Plus the new Roku display counts "backwards" so to speak. The show timeline goes to the left instead of to the right like normal reading. Plus, the season and show identifier is cut off. In other words it does not show the full information about which episode you are trying to view. To me this makes it harder to determine which episode of a series you left off on especially since the new Roku does not offer the possibility of just starting where you left off on another system.
I would recommend this to a friend!

My husband bought this for me so i had something to use when he took our xbox to our friends house for days at a time. Its been a blessing. I get all of our streaming services on one easy to use device. I love it and all the extra chanels you cant get anywhere else
