i love this thing!

i bought a Roku 2 so i could eliminate my cable TV bill and switch to more quality shows. between the free shows on the Roku and the offerings on Netflix and Hulu i am finding more shows that i like to watch and just as important, my cable/internet bill is now $100 less every month.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I thought it would be better than the Amazon stick. Too complicated and kept getting error messages for content

Great features at a great price!

Easy to set up, easy to use and it's fast! We've had it a week and are very happy with it. All my streaming content is organized in one place and controlled by one remote. I'm also very glad I can set up a code to prevent accidentally subscribing to paid content. I just wish the free content was easier to find.

Remote not as good as old one

I had an old roku that lasted me over four years. It finally died so I replaced it with a roku 2. It works well and I like it fine I just don't like the remote. The enter button is in between the arrow buttons. Actually connected to them. It makes it very hard to press one button without accidentally hitting another. Also you have to have it pointing right at the device for it to work. And I mean RIGHT AT IT. Not a little above or a little to the side, or even in the general direction. I have to have my arm fully exteneded and aimed directly at it or it won't pick it up. I know the "aim anywhere" remote is included if you buy the more expensive model but I expected this to work at least the same as my old one. But sadly it does not. I still love my roku and would not give it up I just wish the did a better job with the remote on this model. Not sure if it is the same as the others.

My family has owned a roku for a while now and I have to say it's great. I recently purchased one for my home and I love it. I rarely watch tv shows when they air on tv because they are usually too late or I have things to do. Roku provides all of the great apps where I can catch up on everything!

I bought this for tv in my bedroom but then I upgraded my tv. My granddaughter is using every night to watch netflix
