Great features with less energy use.

I bought the Roku 2 specifically to watch Acorn TV. I am well pleased. Once I installed it I discovered another benefit - when using it for Netflix I found it was magnitudes faster than the XBox with regards to connection speed and browsing speed. We now only use the XBox for Netflx DVD's. This will result in lower energy consumption for our household as well.

Nice Product and Easy to Use

I purchased this unit to use with a new Tablo 4. The Roku worked great out of the box. However, once every day or two, it locks up and I have to abort what I'm trying to watch, go to "Home" and everything is fine again. Not sure why. I didn't like the large number of channels automatically added to "my channels". Deleting them one by one is time consuming. By the way, it works really well with the Tablo 4 but if your new to Roku AND Tablo 4, I did a lot of stumbling to get the Program Guide to work as described. In my opinion, this was due to inadequate directions/instructions (or maybe my mind was in the gutter).

Fantastic device

Fantastic device that opens up many viewing options. I've been using Roku for about 4 years now. I currently have 2 - Roku 1 & 2 (3rd Gen) and just gave my older Roku (2nd Gen) to my daughter. I'm saving $ by not having Cable or Satellite and I still have access to the same channels and then some.

We purchased this roku because we had cut ourselves from cable and the high cable prices. To our surprise, there were many more channels to be had than read about, and a lot of free one's. We hard wired ours, which is a great new feature with the new #2 BOX, and it's blinding fast! Good job with that one.

So Easy To Do

I love this little player, it is the first one I have used, and it was so easy to install. All I did was plug it in to my tv, and pressed ok to find my wifi, and it took about 30 seconds and it was installed and working. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an easy and cheap way to watch tv. I have disconnected my cable because there are so many apps, including local news and weather channels, it will save you a lot of money per month.

I bought the Roku 2 to replace the Amazon Fire Stick and have had no problems with my Roku 2 whatsoever. From the minute I plugged it in and watched my first show it's been perfect viewing all the time. I am so glad I bought this and I would recommend this product to anybody that wants hassle free streaming.

As my one TV is not a smart TV, a friend recommended that I buy Roku to connect to my WiFi. First, I was surprised at how compact it is, it can fit anywhere. Then I found how easy it is to navigate. I am now able to view Netflix, other free movie programs, and a variety of other entertainment. I would highly recommend Roku 2.

Must factory restart too often!!!!!

This is my second Roku player. I enjoy the product immensely, However, I cant stand the fact the Roku 2 must be restarted at-least 5 times a week. Big Bummer.
