Roku is not for everyone

I have only had Roku for 3 weeks and already I have lost the signal 3 times - which required me to reset then both go to the Roku website AND manually log onto the ROKU on my TV. When I was using WiiU, I never lost the signal.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Couldn't stop watching TV now!.. mainly Netflix, Google Play Movie, Youtube! Roku 2 is fast! It is also stable... haven't had a crash for the past 2 weeks I am using it!

Great digital streamer

This is the best streamer. It was easy to set up with my wireless network and is equally easy to use when browsing and selecting a show to watch. I also love its small footprint- it hardly takes any room. The remote is also a perfect size. Thanks Roku for an awesome product.

One of the main reason why I wanted to buy a Roku is because of DramaFever Channel that they offer. For some of you that don't know about DramaFever, its a channel that allows you to stream new International shows (mainly Asian dramas/variety shows and a few BBC dramas). We own a PS3 and although it offers YouTube, Amazon Prime, CrunchyRoll, Crackle, it really doesn't have the channels that I want. I spent ample of time researching the best streaming device and finally settled on Roku 2 because of the well-received and in-depth review from CNET. Now, I'm really not that picky when it comes to technology. As long as it works, I'm happy. I was also tempted to get Chromecast because of the price, but when I started to compare one from the other, Roku 2 beats Chromecast by a mile! The channels that Roku 2 constantly adds and the user interface is worth every penny! You really get what you pay for.
For those of you who's thinking of 'cutting the cord', I suggest you do your research about Roku's streaming devices and experience it for yourself.
P.S. I only gave four-stars because Roku needs to add more Filipino channels!!

I bought this about a month ago and am so happy that I did! It feels so good to take back control of my TV programming and no longer at the mercy of 'cable TV'.

I had satellite TV, but where I moved, there was no place to put the dish that would get a good signal. I looked into other options and Sling TV was listed. I needed a Roku. A friend of mine has the stick, but I thought I would get the Roku 2 and am EXTEMELY pleased with how it works and the ease of setting it up!!

Easy, quick set-up. Great content. Everything so far is much easier than expected, but I still haven't found out how to REMOVE a channel from my lineup. Initially, I selected a lot of channels, that now I've decided I don't want.
