LOVE IT!

I've had my ROku for 2 weeks now, and totally love it. I cancelled my Cable subscription and am saving $100 a month. There is so much available it's almost rediculous. You need nothing else, it's all there. I also added an antenna for live local channels and it works great. (I do wish they were available on Roku). The HD is better than cable, it's the same with the antenna. I recommend this to everyone.

I did not know what to expect from the Roku2. The setup was easy (once I got behind the TV and got cables attached). Navigation of the available sites is easy and the settings choices are decent. There were many more pay sites than I expected and I am still checking out the free sites. I am disappointed in the IR remote as it must be pointed directly at the Roku2 receiver to work, but I have found the acceptable range for the most part. It is cumbersome to have to change the HDMI channel from the TV to the Roku2 thus involving yet another remote. When viewing TV shows (like on Netflix) there is no pause when the commercials are skipped. I have not experienced any streaming spooling. So far I am very pleased with my Roku2.

Great! But missing one essential thing...

I bought a couple of these devices to replace the cable set top boxes that I was charged monthly rental fees for. With my provider I have an app (channel) that allows me to stream and watch all of my channels live through Roku. It basically paid for itself in a couple of months. It needs a sleep timer though.
