Couple of Glitches but It's a Good Product

Bought it 2 weeks ago and found that remote must be pointing directly at signal light so difficult when seated at either side of the room. Had to disconnect 3 times so it connects to Netflix. Otherwise ok little box.

Great alternative

I bought this roku a week ago. I really like it a lot. I wish there were more free channels. One problem with it is that if you don't have a cable provider you won't be able to access many of the channels. Also, there are a lot of channels that have a monthly service charge. So if you are buying this product as an alternative to cable, just keep in mind, you will have to pay for premium channels and in order to get many of the channels you will need a cable company. I really don't understand that because that's why we buy thus product. However, the channels you do get free come in clear and there are many free older movies and you can rent the newer ones.

Much Improved Over Old Roku HD

I loved my Roku HD but had a gut-level feeling that it was getting a little out dated. So I decided to upgrade to the recent Roku 2. Wow. Much better. Stronger signal. Clearer picture. You name it, the Roku 2 has it. Netflix starts right up, crystal clear from the moment a show begins. I can actually read the opening credits now. A bonus I wasn't expecting is the revamped user interface. Much more elegant. More complex and useful. I'm 100% pleased with my new Roku 2.

I use it more than my Apple TV!

I gave up cable and am now using the ROKU and Apple TV to see some of my network shows, plus Netflix, Acorn and Amazon Prime, etc. I am finding that I use the ROKU more than the Apple...it has more choices that I use, like CBS All Access and Acorn. Apple TV has PBS streaming, so I mainly have to switch for that. Both of them are a godsend...breaking the cable hold on me was easier because of these amazing little boxes! And now these older, but still great, versions cost less combined than one month my old cable bill.
