Loved having my favorite apps at my finger tips

Unfortunately I had to return this since I need cable to access my favorite channels. The whole point of getting Roku was to eliminate cable. I would recommend with caution of the need for cable.

Not being a techie, even I was successful in getting this started. The only thing I can not quite figure out is how to make both my roku units and my online roku homescreen to match. It could be me, or it could be Roku, but it is not a deal breaker.

I bought it. Love the Roku. But the app sucks it hardly ever ever ever connects. I've done all the trouble shooting, connected manually, etc. fix it!!!

An economical way to access personal media.

For the most part I really like the ROKU product. Money well spent. However, I have one beef, and it’s a beef your software engineers should easily be able to remedy with an update… so that’s why I’m mentioning it here:
Please, please, PLEASE, update the ROKU MEDIA PLAYER app so that there is an easy to access option allowing the user to list files and sub directories in vertical top-down matter. That would be a far more compact and practical way of browsing through large lists of video files than having to tediously scroll HORIZONTALLY through long lists. Try scrolling horizontally through 20 or 30 or more files at a time and I think you get my drift. Please add an easy to access settings option allowing us to list files vertically in a more succinct and compact format. Perhaps that option already exists. If so, I haven't found it yet.
Other than that… A good product. Like it very much.

It seems to loose its connection to the internet quite often. I have seen this as a problem others have had and they exchanged them and that corrected the problem. I plan to send this back and get a different one.

The Roku 2 performs competently for what it is meant for: assembling streaming services together in a single device. It seems to be pretty fast, with good startup times and quick loading between different programs. Cons: the remote is too small and needs a few more feature buttons, and the setup is a pain, especially when the activation code didn't work for me for about 10 minutes. All the major services are supported, but it seems like there should be a few more.

I wanted this Roku2 with the faster processor because the interface is nicer than the previous model and it can just do more. I did not want to spend the Roku3, because the reviews said that the improved 2 would meet my needs. The reviews proved to be true because I love this thing. Very smooth operation, no glitches, loads quickly, etc.. I am very pleased with my purchase.
