It's okay...

The interface is kinda unattractive. It's a muted grey and the menu layout feels strange and not very intuitive. Also, my remote doesn't work very well. I have to press really hard or several times for things to register. I had a Apple TV before and this roku player makes me feel like I'm using something that's dated.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Better speed

I had the older version for a number of years. I have 50mb internet speed, but it always lagged. I finally bought this one and it changes channels faster and responds much better. The graphics are more amazing too.

My Second Roku

I got my second Roku a few months ago and I love it. I still have the older model and I got the newer model for my new TV. They both work great.

Great gadget but....

We finally have ditched cable and now are using Roku and some subscriptions to enjoy our television viewing. Much less expensive and certainly easy and convenient. The only down fall that we have is the remote. If we aren't standing 3 feet in front of the box with the remote aimed right at it we can't use it. VERY FRUSTRATING, and yes we have tried different batteries etc.

Perfect Roku

I bought this Roku 2 because the last time the Roku 1 fried itself and just stopped working one day. I have had no problems with this Roku, it is definitely much faster than the Roku 1 and perfect for my kids and my almost daily use. I love the variety of shows and the huge number of available shows.

Got my Roku 2 about 3 weeks ago. It has changed my TV viewing habits all together. It is so easy to use, an brings you the best in entertainment. Well worth the price. Oh and it works so fast.
