Expected more.....

I don't like that you have to pay for most of the programs on Roku. Kinda defeats the purpose of having Roku. I also get a lot of "loading......" messages in the middle of watching a show. I wish there were a real News channel. I did expect more from it. Overall it is a good alternative to cable or satellite (which we cancelled). I do like the fact that you can stop what you are watching and continue later.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I originally bought the Roku because my Apple TV does not support Amazon Prime. The interface is superior to my Apple TV and my other smart devices (i.e. TV, DVD player, etc) for accessing streaming media. The ability to add and remove "channels" keeps the home screen uncluttered with only the services I choose to use. I've been using it regularly for about a month, and thus far the performance has been flawless.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Roku 2 is okay but older Roku 3 is better

Don't get this model (Roku 2) if you plan to use the included remote control (alternatives are using a phone app or some other programmable remote). It is junk. The much better remote control included with the Roku 3 is worth the extra cost.

Awful for Netflix!!

I purchased this for myself and signed into to Netflix only to find that I couldn't access my user profile. The Netflix app only allows the user to use the main account and doesn't not give you the option to switch profile users.
