Love it! Love it! Love it! I have a WD tv that was good until it overheated. Rock was my first choice for my streaming, and I'm glad I got a ROKU!

I had bought my boyfriend a Samsung Blue-Ray player for his birthday to mostly be used for streaming Netflix, Hulu, etc. Never worked. I took it back to the store and purchased the Roku2! Amazing. Streams everything without fail.

Enjying my cord cutting experience

Coincident with a move last month i decided to cut the cable cord and determine if i can live without the cable company programming (and the absurdly high monthly bill). I have been very happy thus far primarily due to the Roku media system that i purchased. Learning what different apps existed and how to use them has been a gradual yet pretty simple process. One of the aspects that i have liked the most of the Roku is its simplicity. Just look at the remote as the first piece of evidence to this claim. An improvement that i would like to see has to do with the network status information. While the system will show me if I am connected and provided a qualitative description of the connection (ie "excellent" "average" etc) i would like to have the connection speed and bandwidth provided. Not all apps are the same with one in particular, "Sling" offering different picture quality settings. However these settings are dependent upon the bandwidth that you are streaming at and the average user doesn't have a way to determine this. As the gateway, i believe the Roku system should measure and present this info.

Love this Roku 2

I decided to save a few bucks and get this upgraded Roku 2. Same insides as the Roku 3. Great picture and sound. Combine it with the Roku remote App on my iPhone and its good bye cable! Love it. Kicking myself for not cutting the cable sooner.
