I bought Roku 2 a week ago and I am extremely thrilled. In short, what I have experienced about Roku is greater than what I have heard about it.

I purchased a Roku because my TV I purchased didn't support Netflix. I was so happy with it, that I bought 2 more for other TVs in my home. This is the best item I have purchased in a long long time. I absolutely love it.

My favorite streaming device!

My husband and I just bought my Roku 2 a few weeks ago, and boy am I glad! We used to have an Xbox 360 to stream Netflix. But we would hardly use it. So we sold the Xbox and bought a Roku. It is smaller, has more apps, and is easier to use than the Xbox. I love it!

It flickers in 1080p mode

I like the unit and it works good. However the screen flickers when set to 1080p mode in the settings. I have a 1080p capable Panasonic TV and I tried 2 different HDMI Cables. I also exchanged the Roku2 unit and the new one did the same thing. If set to 720 it works fine.

Helped cut the cord with Cable TV

I bought this hoping to get enough of the content I want without needing cable TV. With Hulu and Netflix through Roku and the many free services I am 95% of the way there. The only things I really miss I can see the next day on Hulu or in a few months on Netflix. With my TV costs now less than 1/3 what they were with Cable TV I can live without the 5% I am missing.

I had the Roku stick and didn't have success getting it to work on my TV. However, I decided to give Roku another chance and bought the Roku 2. I have to say I am thoroughly impressed with the product. It streams better than my Samsung Smart TV or my Sony BluRay player. I would buy this product again.
