Great product

This has made cutting the cable cord soooo! much easier. The only complaint is the remote battery holder could be more robust sometimes you have to shake the remote or tighten up the retaining springs.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A Wonderful New Tool

I have only purchased it a few weeks ago and am still learning about it.
For what I have seen, it is probably one of the best inventions found for television viewing. How could I have not known about this just two months ago!
I am also saving an immense amount of money by using Roku2 instead of using cable television services.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Improve streaming to Netflix

Having been using a Blu-ray (BR) player to stream Netflix movies, I bought this device to improve streaming movies. The Roku2 was installed by my automation tech and the Roku2 controls were integrated into my Crestron home automation system. At internet connection download speeds of 50M, the initial connection time to access Netflix was: 38 seconds for BR and 4 seconds for Roku2. So far I noticed that the streaming has not been interrupted as compared to past experiences with BR. I have been very pleased with the Roku2 performance at this time.

I am pleased with the features of the Roku. There is one thing I want others to understand, because I missed the boat on this and I never saw another review that ever mentioned this matter. Roku advertises that media such as ESPN, BBC America, Tennis Channel as just a few examples are available. Yes they are but there is a hitch. You still have to have a cable provider such as DirectTV or Comcast in order to receive those channels. Well, I got Roku because I dumped the excessively priced DirectTV. Why would one get Roku if they still have a cable provider?? Makes no common sense to me!

This is a convenient product. Easy set up. I like everything about it EXCEPT-- It's does not support my Internet provider therefore I can't use 95% of the apps.

Easy Interface

I have downloaded a few tv apps. The first few days it worked great. After that I would always get a HDCP Unauthorized error every time I turned it on. Tried all steppes on the roku site and others. Not luck so far.

Almost worth the money!

We enjoy this but still trying to figure out what makes the cost much greater than having Netflix on the computer or a smart tv. We watch it from time to time but I don't know if I would buy it again. I can take it or leave it.
