Dissapointing

I bought this to replace my Roku 1, because I thought it would be faster and lose the connection less, neither was true and on my Roku 1 the remote worked wherever I pointed on this one if you are not perfectly lined up forget it. I am sorry I bought it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Roku 2 was setup within minutes. The overall screen designs make it very intuitive to use.

Never knew what I was missing

When I subscribed to Netflix, I opted for using my DVD player to access the Internet. It was OK until I found a program that simply would not stream. Netflix blamed the ISP, the ISP blamed the device, and the device remained mute. So I got a Roku 2 and not only did it solve the problem, it gave me much more than I was getting, including superb HD resolution. Best choice ever.

Much improved speed compared with old model, you would not need Roku 3, it's got less difference.
