Really good way to finally be a cord cutter

The main reason I got the Roku 2 was so I could have Sling with HDMI quality video. Sling has 20 channels of live cable channels and I'm happy that I was able to say good bye to my over priced cable tv and now I only pay for the internet and $20 to Sling. Roku also has lots of free channels with all kinds of different programming.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great product and excellent interface

I bought the device online and I love it. However, it requires to open an account with ROKU company and providing credit card and personal information to set up the device. I do not think it will work if you do not have any credit card.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this 2 weeks ago and it has some additional channel that the previous one now I can enjoy Stars,Encore,Showtime,HBO and Cinemax

We primarily got this to be able to do profiles on Netflix. Our old Roku LT did not have that feature. Now our different family members can keep their own watching lists.

After new updates my Roku 2 stop working properly! Restart by himself, freez , slow and etc.Some of content, like cnn doesn't work at all.

upgraded from the roku 1. this has more features, including the option to add subtitles to Netflix. It would be great if it worked all the time. about every 2 days I have to unplug and re-plug the power connection because the screen freezes up and the unit becomes completely unresponsive. A few hours ago I got up to unplug again and decided to just smash the piece of junk to pieces and then I hooked up my roku 1 which is slower to load and has fewer features, but after years of service never let me down.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Overall good, dissappointed in remote

I bought the Roku 2 for a Christmas gift for the spouse. We have an existing Roku 3 in the living room and we wanted one in the bedroom. It works just as well as I would expect, and setup was a breeze. The only downside, is the IR only remote. It seems the remote has to be Directly pointed at the Roku for it to pickup the signal. After years of using the wifi remote with the Roku 3, this is a big disappointment. Overall the remote layout and feel are great, it is just the IR reception.
If you can use a wifi remote with the Roku, do so, and you won't be disappointed.
I would recommend this to a friend!
