Fantastic variety of shows available

I bought this several months ago and I use it everyday. We have cable, but in the spare bedroom we do not and to be honest I enjoy watching TV in that room most of all. I have a wider variety of shows to watch and my 5 year old grandson can stay entertained for hours. I absolutely love my mine and would recommend it highly to anyone wanting to watch TV without the cost of cable.

Good. But not so Good.

This is an excellent device. I bought two of them. I like the "2" because it has RCA audio out jacks to plug into my "old" receivers for great surround sound. The others don't have these outputs. The only problem is , "2" doesn't work well on YOUTUBE! Very slow to respond to commands from the remote! (sometimes seems not at all)

Good Item. More installation information needed

This is a good (and small) product that DOES attach you to so many kinds of movies. My main complaint is that there is limited installation/hookup information. Many of the movies are not HD quality and, of course, even on an HD TV, they don't look that good. I have a Blue-Ray DVD player for non-HD movies that upgrades them to better quality. How do you use Roku with that to have the movie quality that we're used to? How do you hook Roku into your cable box and TV so that you don't have to move the HMDI cable back and forth when you want to switch from watching movies to cable? There isn't anything in the brief set-up guide and I have yet to find a more complete setup guide on line. Maybe I'm just missing it. But, if I can get it hooked up correctly with those two issues taken care of, I'd give it an "Excellent" !

I wish I could give this a 4 or 5 stars because my roku is awesome! But every single time I go to watch a show on netflix, it comes up with the purple HDPC unauthorized. content disabled screen. EVER TIME. I have to go to settings and change my display type and then it magically starts working again. Very annoying because when I watch netflix I am usually in a lazy mood and I have to do this every single time I try to wach.

Delivers what it promises!

This is my first entry into the streaming market and the Roku 2 delivers what it promises: simple to configure (I'm running wired to the network), great streaming experience (no buffering!), and the variety of channels is fantastic.
