You still can't turn it off!

This is my second Roku, the first I ended up giving away after getting a chrome cast.The concept is great especially if you are coming from TV. This one is definitely faster than the first , but that doesn't solve its main problems. It won't let you cast from a chromebook , so you can't send video from your chromebook to the roku and it doesn't have a browser so you can't go to a website and view that video that you want to see.The channels aren't very exciting, mostly pay stuff. The biggest problem (chromecast too) is that it HAS NO OFF BUTTON. So your tv screen stays on all night and it uses data. I use a cellular modem to connect to the internet and must pay for data, also I am off the grid and don't feel the need to waste power. So if I must unplug it , I just plug the chromecast in the next time as it is more useful and my new roku sits unused.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

not sure about the quality

I purchased my roku 2, set it up and watched Netflix for a few days. Now, it is completely unresponsive. Unfortunately, I work away from home, and will not get a chance to return it for a few more weeks. I have the receipt, and my wife has the unit. I like the product, as others I know use it without issue, so hopefully it is a fluke. We shall see.

I just got the ROKU 2 and love it. Its simple to use, because everything is in the remote. Love that i can cancel the sound with the headphones supplied. Then the programs option doubled the amount you access to from Apple TV. sound quality,picture are just excellent.
