I have gone thru many "set top" boxes, searching for one that offers channels I want to watch, ease of use, and good sound and picture quality. WDLive SMP,various Android based settops, Chromeboxes, etc. Still haven't found one to do Netflix,Amazon, AND play my local files..until now. Roku2 offers an easy to use GUI (family friendly was a big requirement), a slick GUI, and enough content to make anyone happy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Perfect for cutting cable

The Roku 2 was perfect for us because we have a very good older TV without HDMI inputs. This model has HDMI and composite inputs and it works perfectly and it is ridiculously tiny, like a fat coaster.

like Roku, but it doesn't seem to like Hulu

I bought this because I thought that my old Roku was not working like it should since it seem to lock up when I selected Hulu to watch. Now the new one does too. Tried all the troubleshooting tips, but to no avail. So, at certain times of day, we end up having to use our laptop to webstream Hulu to our TV instead of relying on the Roku

We now have 2 Roku 2's and the improvements from last year's version are wonderful. Easier to use, and pictures are clearer with HD.

We love the new Roku! We had an earlier model, which was dropping wireless connection continuously. The new one works every time, and the new format is much easier to use.
