The only reason I gave 4 stars is that there are so many channels that are not of any use to me... But it's probably just me. It is my review after all. It is a great product. More superior to other products (I was extremely disappointed in Apple TV 4, I returned it after a single day use).
I would recommend this to a friend!

i replaced a fire stick and am very happy with the speed and easy to use Roku 3.I only can get an 8 meg internet here where i live and thought i'd have poor performance from the Roku, but to my surprise it is working great. I have also bought a Roku 2 for another tv. That makes 3 Roku i now have in my home, 2 wireless and 1 wired. No problems what so ever.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've had my Roku2 for a few weeks now. I love it. It has all I need....except Rhapsody. When they get that it'll be perfect! I have several family members ready to buy one now as well.

Bought the Roku 2 for guests staying with us over Thanksgiving for the spare bedroom since there are no cable or satellite hookups. As soon as they leave, this will take the place of my 2nd gen Apple TV in my bedroom. All the streaming I could ask for.

I purchased the 1st gen roku 2. While I enjoy my roku tv, this box was lacking. The netflix app does not support multiple profiles and resembled the app used by our 5 year old blu ray player. It was notably slower than the netflix app on our roku tv. Ive read the roku 3 addresses these concerns.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy to get up and running quickly

I have been using a WDTV Live for years. It used to be a great media player. But now its been nothing but trouble. It takes for ever to start up and regularly locks up. I have several of them for various reasons and so its not a one off. The Roku will do almost everything the WDTV does, but far quicker and more reliably. In fact we are yet to have any slight issue.
The way its sorts your own connected media is not as good but it at least works.
The only feature it doesn't have is the ability to see any connected drives on our network. This is handy to transfer files from the computer to the Roku connected drive. If you never do this then 10/10
