Worked better than thought using it thru WiFi. Fast download, no intermittent signals. Very happy with the roku

Easy way to stream movies and TV

We bought this about a month ago. Setup was pretty easy. It took us a little bit to figure out how to maneuver through the menus, but now it's easy. We have already added a bunch of channels and a couple of subscriptions and the Roku 2 makes them all easy to manage.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love it! A few suggestions

I received and set Roku2 up less than a week ago. Love it! Set up was very easy with good, simple instructions. It works well, but more help options available on the device screen would be useful. For example, it does not tell you how to get back to partially watched programs. I found the search function but it took me quite a while to figure out how to get from the letter entry function to the select a program box. More problematic for me, our WiFi service has a 250 GB data limit and there is no way to choose to stream in lower definition rather than HD (high definition). I did some reading and found out that with Netflix you can set the streaming definition at Netflix. This is apparently not possible with the providers I'm using. On the Roku you can "fake it" a bit by telling the device your TV is 720 rather than 1080, but that still means you use many GB per hour. Looks like I will need to move up to a more costly plan with a higher GB allowance. Note: this may be a problem with all the streaming devices, not just with Roku.

Bought a roku 3 before and did not last. It quit working after 7 months and only had a 90 day warranty. So I am trying the roku 2 this time.

I enjoy using my roku! The only thing I wish they would consider is a light up remote . Very annoying looking for buttons in the dark .

I bought this a while ago..I had to do factory reset to get it to work, now my channels are gone I'm not that happy. The only thing that works is my Netflix

I upgraded to Roku 2 after purchasing a smart TV; there are more features and programming. I love my new Roku, no complaints. I especially like the back feature which helps when you are watching a streaming channel without an easy way to return to the home menu.

Even better than the last

We had an older verision of the Roku 2 in our bedroom and finally got one for the living room this past weekend. The new version is even better and sleeker than the last (which we were already very happy with). We love the new user interface and apps. We had been streaming Netflix through a gaming console but experienced major and very frustrating connectivity problems. Since using the new Roku we haven't had any of these problems.
