Recently purchased 2nd Roku 2. Very nice, but completely different format than the old one. Took a while to get used to. As a matter of fact I am still learning thing about it!
Sometimes I wish it worked like the old one, but then I find a new feature that I really like! You've definitely got me hooked on Roku!

Great alternative to cable

After much thought I decided to purchase a Roku 2 and I couldn't be happier. I love the different streaming channels it has and with Netflix and Hulu I pretty much can watch all my favorite shows. Definitely make sure you have a good internet connection or you might find yourself constantly buffering. Overall the Roku 2 is a great choice for my family and it cut my cable bill by $110. I highly recommend anyone to get a Roku today.

Bought this to replace our Wii console for streaming Netflix, Hulu, etc. & couldn't be happier. The set up was a piece of cake and there are so many more options for streaming shows that we watch than we had with the Wii. Money well spent!

Works as I expected

The Roku plays well. I don't really care for the previews that appear on the screen and start playing if I accidentally hit OK twice while dialing into Netflix. Otherwise I'm happy with the device. I had another type of device previously that had an on-off button to power down. I was unaware that the Roku is on all the time. No biggie but sometimes when I turn on my TV I have to unplug the Roku because somehow it has frozen and won't respond. It fires right up though when I plug in the power source. I'd prefer an on-off button.

The speed and eas of use of the new Roku 2 (not to mention its low price) was everything I had hope in a low-cost streamng device.

A Much-Needed Upgrade

Before getting this model I had a refurbished Roku XD, which gets the job done, but it was time for an upgrade, and I am supremely happy with it. Still wish the Roku 2 remote didn't require line-of-site with the box, but that's really a small gripe. The speed of the machine and the new features really make this a great streaming option.

Not very happy...

I bought the new version Roku 2, model 4210 with the faster processor. It works fine with all channels except Sling TV, which is why I bought this Roku. Only 2 of the stations work and those are the ones I don't watch. Very disappointed! My Roku 3 works fine with Sling TV though.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Birthday gift for my wife's birthday last month. Purchased the Roku 2 after researching streaming players. The 2015 version of your Roku 2 had excellent reviews. We got hooked on Netflix after visiting my sister-in-law in California earlier this year and my wife kept after me to get it for us. The set up was very easy and it works great. Very happy with the Roku 2 so far.
