I got a Roku 2 player about 2 weeks ago, and am really enjoying the channels that it streams, especially the Acorn channel.

Great for vacation rental properties

I have several Roku 2's, both in my main house and in my vacation rental properties. It is a great feature to offer renters and reduces the number of cable/sattelite boxes that I need to have available

Fast and responsive

This seems to be everything that the Roku3 is with the exception of voice search and who really wants that? It is excellent for the price! The IR control works well my Logitech Harmony 670 and does not need a good line of sight for control. I use Plex over a wifi connection and it works great. The commercials on Hulu are quite laggy on other devices (such as my cheap samsung smart tv) but they load quickly on the Roku2.

The only thing that i was disappointed was when it did not display the process to get NETFLIX contacted for help and the gentleman screwed it up for me he wanted a security added to my Wireless Router and messed it up for me so I called my phone company and the internet Desk help got the problem resolved anyone better call their own phone company for help !!

I have 3 roku streaming sticks and roku 2, only issues are periodically some apps freeze and have to unplug device and restart roku. However overall I can't imagine not having one in every room with a television.

One reason I bought it was because the Amazon Prime App is included. BUT THE MAIN REASON is because it receives the WIFI signal very efficiently. Simple to get set up and simple to use.
