Awesome entertainment

I have had this a week or so and wow the entertainment is awesome. I love all the shows always something good to watch for anyone in the family. Excellent price for a forever service no monthly payments I love it!!

Works great - when there's no handshake issues

In the interest of full disclosure, I am running this Roku 2 through my Sony AVR. But the HDMI handshake problems are infuriating, and they seem to be getting worse. I have to go to another input and then go back to the Roku, usually multiple times. Doesn't matter which order I power it up in, either. But when I finally get a picture, it works pretty well. I also have a Roku 3, and I didn't have these issues with that model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Doesn't always work

I bought this about 1 month ago and I'm pretty disappointed. It chooses when it wants to play content and when it doesn't. There is no rhyme or reason to it. My internet connection is excellent so that's not the problem. I bought a movie to watch on it and it wouldn't actually play the movie for 2 weeks. Sometimes it will stop to load in the middle of a show and not play again. Super unhappy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have had my Roku for six months now and am very pleased with it. Very easy to install and set up with a large selection of channels. It has made watching television so much more fun!

I got my roku 2 for the old tv in the master bedroom several years ago from Walmart. Easy set up, and easy to use. Some reviewers said there were problems with some channels because you need a cable account. That is true. I happen to have one for my living room tv. However, i dont have to have additional boxes or equipment for my bedroom tv because of roku because i can log onto cable from my bedroom and get all the channels from cable as well. It works good for me either way. I am working towards going completely cable free in the future and i think this is the way to go. Btw, if your looking for a channel that is not on the roku lineup, search for it online (from your computer) and add roku to the search field. Sometimes you can get the code to add it to your box. Once you have it, go to the roku site and add a channel. I love my roku and have not had one problem with it. I would love to see more new channels though, like the CW. But other then that...I'm good.

simple to use, easey to install

this is my second Roku. I bought this one to put on the second t.v. The first one I have had for around five years and no problems. the new one is much faster and just as simple use and the most important aspect is you can install it with no problem
