Just got this Jan 2016 so far it's wonderful!! Easy to set up and lots of variety. This tiny box has spunk!! Very happy.

Compact packed with lots of features

I purchased this roku 2 for my bedroom tv and I'm verysatisfied. Now I have a roku 3 for my large ultra HD tv in my living room and roku 2 for the bedroom, needless to say they are both excellent units, very simple to set up. Very satisfied customer.

User friendly, easy setup

Love ROKU2. More than met my expectations. Easy to set up, quick to load and clear HD reception. One complaint: when scanning content on each available channel, ROKU reverts back to the currently viewed channel too quickly. I do not get enough time to fully review the available content on those channels.

I like this product a lot! But there are some things I wish Roku would change. The remote doesn't have power or volume buttons and so can't be synced with your TV. Also, as minimalist as the remote is, there's a button dedicated to something called Radio, which is no longer in business apparently. Can I get a new one with a Spotify button instead (and power and volume buttons)? Also, none of the cords you need are included, which is very strange. I had to hunt around for an HDMI cord and finally just disconnected my DVD player.
There are also a lot of kinks to be worked out with streaming TV in general, which are apparent. I do miss just turning on a channel and letting it play. As Roku and Sling TV become more popular, I expect that will get better.

i bought this for my mother on her birthday. Consider she is Lao ethnicity (Asian) and speaks minimal american english language, I thought it was only right to purchase a Roku 2 box for her. Now she gets to watch tv shows, soap opera, drama, action thriller, sports, etc streamed from her homeland. Now she feels better living in America and not have to miss out on a lot of what is going on in Laos. Customer satisfactory!!!
