I bought one, ran it for a week, then I bought one for our loft TV. Good features and lots of choices. I have to do some weeding out due to content that I'm just not interested in. I haven't dumped cable yet. Hard to ween my wife off the live and now news.

Very happy upgrading to roku2

The 5ghz Wi-Fi takes advantage of my dual band router and solves buffering issues I was having with my old original Roku. The main screen and all selections now load much faster with the faster processor speed, and I can plug my external hard drive directly into the Roku 2 via the USB port allowing me to stream movies and music with the built in Roku media player channel. Love it

This product works well if you want to dish out monthly payments on the channels you want. I might as well pay for cable and make one payment then to make several small payments. I returned it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great for my Video Art Project!

I went to Micro Center in Brooklyn, and told them about my unique needs. The man at the knowledge bar recommended the Roku 2 for being able to play my "personal media" on a USB. In order to have it repeat endlessly, I just downloaded an app and Voila! I have my movie playing continuously on the wall. thanks Roku.
