ROKU 2 is a disaster

After weeks of trying to make it work, and annoying Netflix and Amazon Prime customer service, only to find out the ROKU 2 uses an adaption of tablet/phone interface, according to Netflix. We are packing up ROKU 2 and returning to sender. Already have my ROKU 1 re-installed and running nicely. I will take the occasional crashes over what ROKU 2 had to offer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have had this for more than a month and am very happy with it. The setup is very easy. Make sure to read setup for remote that is aslo easy to do. Streams much faster than the bluray device I was using. There are many different types of content to choose from. I would recomend this and am thinking about purchasing another for the upstairs bedroom.

The new way to watch TV, But no program guide!

This is by far the best way to watch TV. And I mean watching television deliberately. Instead of just casually watching which of course you can do with the Roku as well. you tend to sit down now and watch TV more deliberately since we all binge watch these days. The only CON I would say so far is that I really miss having a PROGRAM GUIDE that comes with normal television. Even over the air broadcasts have a PROGRAM GUIDE. If Roku had a PROGRAM GUIDE, I would be a cord cutter from here on out. Until then I need both unfortunately. DID I MENTION ADD A PROGRAM GUIDE?

I love this awesome gadget! Cable sucks...too much junk. The ROKU allows you to be more selective. I'm a bit addicted to it, though. I hope I don't get too fat. :)

Great menu based streaming tv

Purchasing the Roku is the easiest way to cut the cord. I love the menu based screen with numerous choices and also the ear phone feature with the Roku 2. I can now watch tv in bed and not disturb my wife's sleep. I love it so much that I have purchased a second one for my bonus room tv. Could not be happier.

I bought the ROKU 2 a few weeks ago. Happy with the streaming abilities. I did order a heftier remote control as the one it came with seems disposable. Has all the apps I want, pays for itself in a month. Not pleased with the fast forward control. On the iPad you can choose exactly where to FF to, on the roku TV, you have to take little blind leaps. Unless I just haven't figured it out. Pretty darn happy with it though. Even with purchasing SHO, HULU, netflix, HBO and Amazon Prime, I'm saving 55/month. LOVE THAT.
