Easy to use

I decided to cut the cable and use the Roku 2 about a month ago. Now I wonder why I didn't do it sooner. Great product.

I have owned an Apple TV for about 3 years. I loved it, but it was lacking severely in streaming apps. I decided to branch out and get the Roku2(since I really didn't care for the voice search or headphone jack of the 3). I'm very impressed. I could use my PS4 to do the same thing as my roku, but this seems to stream so much better and faster wth Hulu, and it offers SlingTV. As for speed and hardware, it's incredible. The list of apps is by far the best I've found, and I love getting notifications on my favorite shows. The only thing I don't like is the design of some of the Roku2's apps. Hulu does not give an indicator on how much of an episode is remaining on the thumbnail. I know that's not a huge flaw, but it saves from having to click into the episode just to see if I've watched it before. Overall, the roku2 is wonderful, and I feel any person that loves to stream should own one.

Been using for about 2 weeks and love the way I am able to access Hulu, Netflix, and other great channels. If you are thinking about cutting the cable wires I recommend getting Roku.

We had become frustrated with the cost of cable, and after much research, decided that going with a Roku 2 and a Hulu and Netflix subscription was the way to go for us. The Roku 2 is absolutely fantastic. Set-up is a breeze, and I had it ready to go in 20 minutes. It's beyond easy to use, and there's a ton of great content to watch. The Roku 2 streams in crystal clear quality, with great sound. Even with a lower-tier internet connection and a basic wireless router, we have not experienced any buffering, pixelation, or delays (unlike our cable connection which pixelated and dropped out often). I do feel that you will need a subscription service to really get the most bang for your buck...the free content is good, but comparatively limited. That being said, the amount and quality of entertainment you can get on the Roku at a fraction of the cost of cable makes it definitely worth it! It's an amazing device and an incredible value!

Fun to have my online streaming better seen on a larger screen- like Netflix & Acorn. And so many channels to choose from. It's nice. And easy to work.

I received this as a gift to replace a Wii for streaming Netflix & Amazon Prime.
It loads up fast and I can navigate pretty quickly. It was easy to set up but I find it a little awkward to type- in stuff mostly because the Wii was more like a computer mouse. It has a much broader array to select from & overall I'm very pleased with it.
