A great way to watch what and when I want.

Had Roku stick for about a year and decided to update. This is a wonderful way to watch TV. If you are busy you can watch your favorite shows when you have time. Plus you do not have to have a package to get the channels you want.

Very dissapointed

Major issues with the device stalling out. It would freeze up and the only way to get it to do anything was to unplug it and start over. Returned it after only having it for 3 days

Great features on the Roku 2

I have had the Roku 2 a few weeks now and I could not be any happier. It has good speed and was easy to setup. My wife and I watch a lot of videos on Netflix, Crackle and Amazon Prime and the Roku 2 has streamed videos without any problems at all. It hasn't dropped a signal once since I turned it on.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It Just Works

I have a smart tv which is getting a little old, and the apps are no longer being updated. Hulu kept crashing. I bought a Roku 2 to take over the functionality of the smart tv. The Roku 2 responds very quickly. There are tons of apps available. I was even able to set up a Plex Multimedia Server to stream media directly from my computer to the tv. I am totally pleased with the Roku 2!

Worthwhile upgrade

Multiple first generation units (2050x, 2100x) had served us well. Replacing with current Roku 2 (4210R) was cost-effective means to allow receiving newer channels and obtain additional features. Earlier remote is much better though, as current ones have "shortcut" keys I do not use, nor like. Legacy remotes work with current models so handheld controls will not be upgraded anytime soon. When using current or legacy remotes, newer systems are less sensitive (side-by-side comparison testing was done), but this is not a huge concern. Overall performance is much better and system response is significantly faster. Footprint is about 75% size of earlier generation. I think newer version should have vents on top, like prior designs, but time will tell if this is an issue. This purchase transaction delivered significant value and return on investment should be long lived. If I could change one thing it would be the remote: either support for changing "shortcut" keys programming, or do away with them completely. The current remote design is my pete peeve concern. Legacy systems have been given to friends who are astounded at what a Roku delivers. Older systems are not obsolete, they offer a reduced feature set.

Great Features and Lots of Channels

Very happy with the updated Roku 2 with its faster processor. Though wish there was a way to skip commercials or at least fast forward through them on some channels.
