Very fast, easy to use

I love this thing. My wife and kids love it and it is extremely fast to load and launch apps. The only thing I would change is to have the remote be backlit for when watching it at night.

I am so happy with my Roku 2 tv. The set up is simple and with its fast processor, moving through the menu options to find shows is very fast. It also has shorter loading times. I have no regrets.

Solid Streaming Device

I am a huge sports fan, and I am able to watch almost any game using the apps available on the ROKU. My only criticism is that live games being streamed on NBA League Pass tend to constantly rewind themselves. However, this may not be a ROKU problem since NBA is the only app to do this.

Great streaming box

This is a great step up from the older Roku 2's as far as performance (I use a Roku 2 XD in the bedroom). It's much snappier and has newer software / apps to run; the best example is the Netflix app, which supports multiple profiles. I went with this because I don't need the fancier remote of the Roku 3, or the 4k capabilities of the Roku 4. My only nitpick is that there is no longer a component video + optical / digital audio output option; I had to buy a switch. Those with newer TV's and/or receivers won't have this issue.

Better Way To Watch TV

I bought this about 2 weeks ago and am very pleased with my purchase. Finally I can watch new shows and movies instead of constant reruns. A really huge amount of channels that are free as well as subscription channels. I would definitely recommend this to others.

Awesome alternative!

We bought the roku 2 player as an alternative to cable. It was easy to set up and made our bill cheaper. It does stream off of the internet so make sure you have a good provider and enough data. Otherwise it's awesome, there are so many free channels, stuff we never dreamed if seeing on cable. Worth every penny!
