Works extremely well in our TV room which is located at opposite end of home from wireless router.

It's my second. My first roku 2 came with a remote which could be used for games like angry birds. I lost that remote and could no longer play, not a big deal. I purchased a second unit when the phone apps stopped working. The new unit came with a inferior remote that could not be used for the game. It works on both devices for streaming content. The streaming is fine. Since Hulu has loaded changes my smart tv is insufferable so I am happy being able to view Hulu despite that. So it's worth it, however the remote thing is unfortunate.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have tried Chromecast, Amazon Fire Stick and a Sony streaming DVD player. My new Roku blows the others out of the water. Easier to use and HUNDREDS of more streaming channels and apps. This Roku is the best!

After talking with friends I found I was missing out on an easy way to stream. The Roku was easy to setup and connect with Netflix.

I tried this out from my local library and loved it!! I love all the channels my daughter loves her Pbs kids I recommend it to everyone!!!
