Who needs a smart TV?

Don't bother spending thousands on a tv when you can buy a Roku. Easy to set up, diverse selection of apps, easy to set up and user friendly for a fraction of the cost of a smart TV.

I bought this for my 9 year old for Christmas to take place of her cable box. It's better than cable. The next purchase will be for my room.

A powerful and easy to use device!

I purchased this for my father to use, to replace an Apple TV unit. In operation it compares favorably to the Apple TV - streaming is excellent and reliable, the menus are easy to navigate and to read onscreen. My father is particularly fond of the Roku Remote, which has clearly marked feature buttons. He'd had issues with the Apple TV remote being difficult to use because he has large fingers! He loves the dedicated Amazon Prime and Netflix buttons on the remote! We are also happy to, finally, have a device that allows us to easily access Amazon Prime content. My one reservation is that the unit does not allow us to access iTunes - where we have a substantial library of videos and music. Because of this, we still keep the Apple TV on hand, but it would be nice if a device came on the market that allowed access to both iTunes media and Amazon Prime!

Simple and Fast

Brought this after reading the ratings and I am very happy. It's simple and fast. Also it doesn't drain much power so the unit is always on and never get hot. Good for simplicity and performance is awesome.
