The Roku 2 does an amazing job streaming everything in HD. Very little if any buffer time and a huge amount of channels to choose from.

getting rid of high cable bills

I purchased my equipment last month and am very happy with it, I have been able to get rid of high cost cable bills and enjoy watching the channels that I really want for so much less than what I was paying for cable.

We purchased the roku 2 after using the streaming stick for several months. We have a lot more capabilities with the roku 2 and have a better reception for streaming.

Cute little roku 2! It works well on my tv that does not have Internet capabilities. My grandkids love ir!

I purchased my Roku 2 two weeks ago and absolutely love it. The set up is very easy--we were watching Netflix in under 10 minutes! I can't wait for my cable contract to end because the Roku is all I need!

I bought the Roku 2 almost two weeks ago and I have used it every day. Don't know if that's good or bad as I've been spending a lot of time in front of the tv. Still discovering channels, looking through the apps, and checking out the games. This little device has so much to offer, we even took it with us to a hotel on a weekend get away and it connected no problem. I thought the Chromecast was great but this has been so much better than that. There's something for everyone and there's so much free content I don't think you'll ever say there's nothing to watch on tv ever again.

Roku 2 - WiFi Interference

My older Roku finally quit working so I bought this as a replacement. The video steaming features of this unit works well and as advertised but this Roku has what I would call one serious issue. This Roku model creates an "always-on" Wifi hot spot that significantly degrades my home network wireless connectivity. It's more than a little inconvenient to have to unplug this Roku when the home Wifi is in use (which it is most of the time in any busy household), and to plug it in to use it when the house Wifi is not in use. I recommend that before you buy this Roku, or any Roku that creates a Wifi hot spot, that you search for "Wifi signal from Roku 2 and 3" on the Internet and read the postings. Based on the home Wifi connectivity problems that I am experiencing, and others have reported, I'l be looking for another video streaming device for future use and will pay particular attention to all the technical specifications before I purchase.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
