Started with the roku stick, but had problems. Returned the stick and got the roku 2 and wow a great product, super easy to install, and even easier to use.

Somewhat disappointed on documentary channels

While the Roku 2 is easy to use and great for movies (assuming you also subscribe to something like Netflix or Amazon Videos), its basic stuff is pretty ho-hum older shows. But my main disappointment is on the documentary channels. My wife and I like watching travel and science/nature programs. But some of these channels have NO content in several areas and instead say something to the effect of "watch this space". Others run the same one advertisement before each 5-10 minute program. We watched about 7-8 short travel features and kept seeing the same ad for an American Express card featuring a woman dashing through Iceland. At least now I can cross Iceland off my bucket list. It would be great if Roku could get these channels shaped up.
Another issue I have is with some of the news channels. They'll show a row of images and titles for various stories. But the time and date is not always obvious and they are not always listed in chronological sequence. You're trying to get the latest news and then find you are looking at a story that's a week old. Again, it's an example of many of these channels not being quitey ready for "prime time."
