Could be more intuitive

We bought this to replace our Apple TV on our biggest screen. The main reason we purchased a Roku was the availability of Acorn TV, so we use two such devices and can easily compare the two. We wish the Roku was a bit more intuitive and more easily showed what we have watched, when we are watching an ongoing series. I am sure we will get acclimated to using and understanding the structure, but as of yet, we are not completely to comfortable with it.

Easy to set up!

I received this from my daughter who uses Roku and we had it up and running within 30 minutes! I subscribe to Netflix and had been receiving many of the DVD cracked when they arrived. Now I have switched to streaming and also don't have to wait for the DVD to arrive any more. The Roku 2 has met my needs perfectly!

Inexpensive, easy to set up, but limited

While this provides good initial value and comes with the enhanced remote, this player is ultimately limited in that it's hardware for some reason is unable to support the Netflix app version that allows for multiple viewing profiles. This is a problem for people who share their tv and Netflix account with family or roommates. This was the primary reason I had to return mine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy way to get "Smart"

Got this as a present for Christmas. Was looking for an inexpensive way to turn my existing TV into a "Smart" TV mostly for watching sports and the occasional movie. The setup was ridiculously easy and I was streaming in no time. If you're looking to make your TV "Smart" I don't know of an easier way to do it. Love my ROKU 2.

Easy to use. Lots of content available

This is my 1st Roku. It was a gift. Easy to set up lots of features/channels. Nice big print for those of us who are older and eye site not so good anymore.
My only negative is there is no off switch. Sooner or later it goes to sleep. But seems a waste of energy not to be able to turn it off when not in use.

Roku continues to satisfy

I have two other, older model Roku devices and am pleased with this one. I read reviews in technical bulletins that I receive and know that Roku and this one are industry leaders.
