Bought this as a replacement to an old video game console that I was using to access streaming content and am very happy with the performance

Did not realize the cost

I bought the roku 2 and two sticks thinking I would save money. Not the case. Everything costs if it is current shows or movies. Waste of money. Should have stayed with dish.

Simple to Set Up

I received my Roku 2 for Christmas and it was very easy to set up. I was thrilled that I was able to set it up without any help.

Only works with new equipment. I have a new tv in my trailer and it worked good. But I can't use it in my house without buying new tv or new players of some kind.

Interesting Alternative

Good GUI, nice remote and lots of channels makes for a nice alternative to cable and satellite services. On the downside, a lot of the free channels are trash. Also, a digital output would be nice.

Less features than my old Roku 2 XS

The new Roku 2 replaced my old one that failed. The remote for the new one is IR so it must point at the box. There is no A/V out on the new one. The new Netflix app has "features" I hate. The remote feels lighter and lesser quality on the new one. And it sounds different than my old one when connected with the HDMI cable. However, it is much faster than the XS.
