So many channels to watch!

Performs great using Ethernet cable, WiFi is ok long as you don't get interference from neighbours. I spend more time browsing so many channels trying to decide what I want to watch. I have had some issues with it freezing on some of the free channels after a advertisement but I think it's that channel and not the roku player.
I'm happy with it and would recommend it to friends.

Worth the investment

First Roku, description of product on Roku website was spot on. I like being able to put a code for purchases and adding & removing channels, great feature for families. Definitely recommend if this is your first Roku and you are not a gamer (later versions of Roku great for that). If you love channel surfing & movies this is great.

Doing what I wanted

I received mine as a gift from my son when I discovered that my Samsung SmartHub TV would not play AcornTV. I really did not want another component and another remote, and need another HDMI cable, but this seems to have been the best solution. If Samsung and AcornTV work things out I may move this to another TV so that I can watch in other rooms of the house.
