Have a Roku LT I mostly watched ESPN replays on and a Blu-ray I used for Netflix which took forever to load. Based on the reviews I hoped the Roku 2 would be speedier. It is and is especially fast when loading Netflix so I am very happy with it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Only wish it had the freedom of the Stick

It's great, I only wish that you had the freedom as you do with the roku stick to be able to switch profiles between person to person and I would love to be able to look up by category as you can with the stick. The roku 2 is the upgrade of the roku stick so I would think that you'd be able to do these but sadly no. As a matter of fact I can't see any benefits of buying the 2 over the stick. My advice from owning both is get the stick you'll save about $30 and it does everything as the 2 plus more.

I now have two. It has Acorn and Met Opera. Only thing I'd like is an 1/8 analog audio out with a very good digital to analog converter. Would also like to play iCloud pictures as screen saver. The audio is the big thing

We bought this instead of a Smart TV and are very happy so far! We love all of the channels and Netflix. It's also very easy to use and was easy to install.

Great picture, easy to assemble

I enjoy being able to use the product however it always says HDCP and you can't see the picture when you turn Netflix on. I have to unplug it for 10 seconds and wait for it to work and it gets a bit annoying- I've only had it for a few weeks

I bought a Sharp TV with ROKU and decided to get rid of DirecTV. So I needed a device for the Bedroom. I bought the stick but it sticks out too far with the power connected so we went to the 2. We love it and it streams well and we are on DSL!

Missing feature

We had an older ROKU2 we bought in Aug 2013. Loved it!! But a couple of months ago it started messing up as I bought another to replace it thinking I was getting the same thing. What happened to Angry Birds? You moved them to ROKU3. NOT liking that!! I do like the new features on the remote though.
FyI...We used ROKU and an antenna for our whole entertainment experience until a couple of months ago and we got cable basic but plan to only have that until after the presidential elections then will be back to ROKU and the antennas.
