Great to Use

I bought this when I no longer had access to his ps3 and needed something to play netflix on to entertain my son while I was doing schoolwork. It's great and having the ability to play music on it is just as great too.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Our daughter gifted us with a Roku this Christmas. We were very resistant at first, as we were sure we would not be able to set it up properly and would run the risk of fouling up all of our entertainment options. Not to worry. We were able to set it up quickly and are now enjoying many of the features and choices it affords. She's happy, as it has enhanced her options as well when she comes to visit!

Great vs expensive cable & satellite TV upgrades

Purchased about a week ago & am just learning to use the multiple options. Of the few channel choices we've tried, all except ESPN come through quite clearly. ESPN, on the other hand, occasionally flickers & becomes more "grainy" than a convenience store closed circuit TV picture. Don't know what to do to correct this. If it's an Internet signal issue, we can do something about that; however, if it is, why do all the other channels we've tried come through clearly? In fairness, we haven't gone to ROKU to see if they have suggestions on a fix - will do before we get into this weekend's heavy sporting events. All in all, we're happy with ROKU & look forward to exploring the many channel options.

I got this as a christmas present (which i asked for). it is great. definitley has great channel choices. the only thing i don't like about it, is that it doesn't have a way of surfing the web.

Good quality, easy to use, many channels

I bought a Roku 2 to replace a NetGear NeoTV streaming device. I already owned a Roku 1 that was attached to a different TV set, so I was already familiar with the Roku brand. Set up was very easy. Switching between channels is very easy. The interfaces (which curiously vary depending on what type of streaming device you have) are clear cut and easy to understand. Only two minor quibbles. Occasionally, the remote won't work and you have to unplug the power cord from the Roku and plug it back in to clear it. The other quibble is that there are four buttons on the remote for fact connection to four channels. I wish you could choose which channels get a button on the remote. I would love to add Hulu to my remote and delete something else.
