Got this for my mom as a Christmas present. Easy hook up and she loves it. This is my third Roku device I've bought.

Love This Little Box

We were streaming from an HD cable to our laptop and decided to buy the Roku 2 (since we didn't really need headphones or voice control). It was very easy to connect and get started. Make sure you have an HD cable (TV to Roku) and RJ45 connector (Cable Modem to Roku) when this arrives so you can get it running out of the box. There is an abundance of streaming channels that you should review before clogging your menu with everything you wont use. Also take advantage of the free services available to see if it fits to your liking. Make sure to end it when the trial time is up if it is not something you want to pay for.

I bought this and returned it before the week was out. It is not worth the money. It is just apps that need to be paid or have cable for.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Too Much Great Stuff

So much for the resolution to get off the couch. There's so much easy to get at stuff available through the Roku I abandoned my resolution quickly.
Well except for the remote. The home key, Netflix key, and Amazon key are great conveniences. I'm not too keen on Sling TV - just a personal preference. And Rdio no longer is available on Roku. So there are two wasted,but otherwise useful, keys.
I'd also love to have the mini-keyboard like the Boxeebox had. Arrowing all over for a search is painful.

I brought roku a couple weeks ago..and I love it..I don't have to turn it off..when not in use it goes into standby mode until you cut it back on again..love it...and plus..it has a lot of apps you can add and see plenty movies..
I would recommend this to a friend!
