Awesome, Love it!

My daughter and I were living together and she wanted cable service. I never felt a need for it because #1 I can't afford it! #2 I work full-time and part-time, and #3 I felt it was a waste of money because I didn't have time to sit and watch good movie when it aired on cable. My daughter decided to move out last month and I knew I did not want to keep the cable service. So, I decided to keep the internet only and I ordered a Roku2 last month. This is what I like about my Roku2: Easy to set up, no contracts, I can select the movies that I want to watch, I can play, pause and replay when I want to, the Roku also selects a new list of movies for me to view based on the movies that I've watched already, has great movie listings for the entire family, I don't have to worry about going out to rent a good movie or worry about not being able to return a rented movie and be charged late fees. Its a safe and convenient way to select and watch a good movie or so many other TV shows right from the comfort of my couch. For those services that require a fee I am in control of what I want to pay for. But here are so many free ones!! I LOVE it! It's the BEST!!

Purchased about a week ago. A couple of night's ago,my ROKU 2 froze up.I could not view anything,until I unplugged it.It worked fine after that.Don't know when it will freeze again.

Something that finally works

We have had several devices that state they can stream from a number of different service providers. All of them (Amazon Fire TV Stick being the latest) have fell short.
What do you get with a Roku 2? An extremely easy to use interface with flawless picture and sound quality.

It's great but....

I got this as a Christmas gift and I like it fine, no problems with the device itself. My biggest problem is that the shows I want to watch are still only available on a subscription-based service. I got rid of cable to save money and I can see how this could end up costing me a bunch.

Great Device - Lots of Free Channels!

We were looking for a way to down grade our cable and this did the trick. Free channels? Oh yeah, we're up to 140 free channels and there's a lot more! Four or five free movie channels with good movies that I've never seen before! Well worth the money!
