I have the previous /older version of the Roku2, and let me tell you, the updated one is waaaaay better. More specifically, I appreciate the new interface with Netflix which is totally different and, again, waaaaay improved.

Awful remote control

I bought this a few months ago as a protest to Apple TV. This is as good and slightly cheaper but some major easily fixed by the manufacturer issues are the uselessness of the remote, the device needs to be rebooted often, Netflix will be "loading" so that you cannot access the movie you want.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Doesn't work as well as expected

Constantly have to reset the device and unplug the HDMI cable in order to get the sound and video to play. We bought the Roku 2 in hopes that it would be better than the original Roku. While the device is faster and when it works, it is great, I am not pleased with the Roku 2.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great new features

I got this new Roku 2 unit to replace my old one. Love the new app features, free games and improved controls. Rated 4 star because start up is still slow. Not sure if its because of roku device or WiFi.
