I have had no problems and have found a few free movie and TV sites. Works much better them my Wii or Fire stick. No lags at all

Done with satellite tv

After 35 years of cable and satellite finally done with the big bills. I have access to enough of the channels that I watch to keep me satisfied. Operation of Roku is easy and intuitive after a few days of playing around with it. Thanks!

I have owned my Roku now for over a year. Once I synched my iphone to it, I was searching and viewing easily. I like to search Netflix and channels like Crackle to add interesting movies/shows to My List for later viewing. I also like that I can have 4 or 5 things that I am viewing during the week, and when I get tired of one, just switch, and the next day Roku takes me back precisely to where i left off.

Cut The Cord

I received this ROKU2 free with a three month subscription to SLING TV. I currently owned an AppleTV and a ROKU3 and was considering cutting cable tv (cable is cut!). The streaming power of the ROKU2 and 3 are identical. The ROKU3 has some extra features that other buyers may find useful, but from a performance perspective, they both get high marks (AppleTV is the older model, and it performs well but does not provide all of the apps I like to use...the apple remote isn't that great to use either). Additionally, I can plug my 2TB hard drive into the USB port and watch my digital movies (burn your dvds and you don't have to mess with discs anymore). In closing, the ROKU fills the entertainment void with several free app options (Pluto TV is like a small tv network complete with a guide and music stations!). All major apps (Netflix, HULU, Amazon, and I will add SlingTV to the list) run perfectly and are easy to navigate. NOTE: I cannot speak on the performance of the "sticks", as their processors are a little different. Go with this little box (the 2 or 3) and you can't go wrong.

I have only had my Roku 2 for a couple of weeks now but have enjoyed it everyday! It is tv the way it should be. Being able to watch what I want to and only pay for what I watch. I am sure I haven't even begun to explore all that it will do! That may take a while.
