Works well, fast, but remote is missing wi-fi

I'm pleased with the operation of the box, but disappointed that the remote doesn't have wi-fi like our older Roku remote. It has to have line-of-sight to the box like any old remote. That was a really neat feature and I miss it.

Bought this when a old device we had got zapped by lightning, Setup was easy and we got ofer 12 times the stations of what we enjoy to watch than what we were watching. Ease of use and menu clarity is Fantasticly Easy to operate ....We would recommend this to any one that is looking for a better way to enjoy stuff you like to see on television... If you are considering this type of unit Don't Doddle GET IT YOU WONT REGRET IT !!!!!!

Occasional restarts are annoying

The Roku 2 is a nice system that works well most of the time but about once every 2 hours or so gets stuck and forces a restart. Not a problem I expected and it is becoming more annoying as I continue to use the Roku. Other systems owned by friends and family, such as the Apple TV do not seem to have this particular issue.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not so easy to set up and the HDMI cable should be included with the unit. I would let the purchaser know to have one handy and have the the opening in the tv to hook it up. Not all flat screen TV's have additional openings for the HDMI cable.

Easy to instal works well

Received as a Christmas gift ,connected easy to A/V unit, and functions properly. Not happy with Netflix, hard to see what is in episodes prior to activate. Have not tried other providers yet.
