I gave this item 4 stars because it gives me what I needed. Something with nextflix and something with Amazon prime and it also has a bunch of other great features. I would have given it 5 stars but I took one off for the fact that if you do subscribe to a cable provider you need to enter in your info for EACH streaming channel. I felt it would have been much easier if I were to just give my cable provider info, log in to confirm the details and it provides the necessary channels that come with that provider.
Other than that it works well, it's very quick and responsive. The remote does have some issues with pointing it directly at the unit - not a huge deal, you can always download the APP and use it as a remote from your phone - which is actually pretty cool. I've had this for about a month and i'm still finding things I can do with it. I guess you can game on this thing - I haven't tried it yet but i'm excited it give it a go one of these days.

Nicely integrated and good performance

Roku 2 does a really good job of wireless integration of Sling TV, Amazon Prime Video, WatchESPN, and other content. Compared to the video quality of streaming from a Windows laptop, movies on Amazon Video seem comparable; ESPN3 and Sling TV seem better. The video quality of ESPN/2 on Sling TV was unacceptable from my laptop for college basketball games; now somewhat better via Roku 2, but still not good enough to be sure that it salvages Sling TV from being cancelled and for me to continue to be a cable cord cutter for live sports. It would be also be nice if the Roku remote had an Off button.

Love my Roku2

I bought a Roku 2 very recently for my big screen TV. It's extremely easy to set up and exceeds all my expectations. I highly recommend as a fairly non techy person.

Better than competition

I did a thorough review when I was looking to change my streaming device. In the review that the reviewer claimed took them over 12 weeks, Roku hardly for a mention. So, I went for the high priced one. Disappointed. I sent it back within a day. I them decided on Roku 2. It remains one of the wisest devision. It is a cool device. One great festure, I could watch and listen privately while my wife is busy 28th her studies. How cool is that!
